Iowa City Intergroup Meeting Minutes

Brian chaired the meeting.

Old Business:

• Brian suggested tabling the idea of sponsoring a Banquet until summer and focus on sponsoring a New Years Eve Party for the coming New Year since Intergroup attendance remains low. All present agreed. Brian volunteered to check with some of the local churches for a place to hold the New Years party. Barb and Margaret will check with their groups to see who might want to head up organization of the event.
• Sunday Night Midwest Group is carrying the beeper for the month of October. We still would like more groups to have this opportunity and will continue to seek out volunteers.
• Again, Intergroup attendance is low and all present will continue to attempt to involve more groups in the monthly meetings.
• Other old business from previous month tables until next month.

Treasurer’s Report:

Submitted by Ed M. Balance after payment of expenses is $343.81. Last donation to Intergroup was in August. Report was moved and accepted unanimously.

New Business:

• Per Barb: Past web master was charged $89.50 for the web name annual fee (for an ad free site). After checking, Barb discovered this fee should be $59.70 for non-profits. She will attempt to rectify this situation and submit a bill to Intergroup for reimbursement for correct amount next month, and reimburse past web master.
• Minutes from Intergroup meeting will be posted on the Iowa City Intergroup web site. Also flyers for local and district events. She will also post the Second Sunday Amana meeting flyer.
• Barb can make schedule changes on the daily schedules, but changes on the weekly schedule need to go through the district person in charge of posting the schedule. So, closing of the Friday Night Foxhall group will be noted immediately on the weekly schedule.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:20.
