Old Business:
á 12th
Step PanelÑAnnie spoke with Sybil who is interested in participating. Barb will ask Margaret; Brian will ask
Eric. Barb suggested Mark N. Decided on a Saturday afternoon in late
July. Lynn will check on
availability at Uptown BillÕs. We
will need to produce a flyer.
á Banquet/AuctionÑLate
June. Barb will check availability
at Mercy Medical Plaza and look into the catering. Heather will have the information on the caterer. Brian volunteered to find a speaker. Pete volunteered to do the flyer. Need to determine if we will sell
advance tickets like in the past.
Susan expressed concern over the auction, as it was used as a fundraiser
in the past to pay for the office and office manager. Intergroup has no need to raise funds at the present
time. Further discussion ended in
agreement that we couldnÕt hold the auction.
á Brian
asked about the archive committee.
Nothing has been done to date.
Sean will talk with Tim and Jerry and report back next month.
á Annie
and Tim have not completed the verification of the 12th Step Call
List. Annie will make a pact to
complete by the end of summer.
New Business:
á
District Report submitted by Sean. Broke even on the St. PatrickÕs Day
dance. An event is scheduled May
20 at Kent Park. At the Area
Meeting in Marshalltown discussed the deficit at GSO. Encouraged groups to increase the percentage they give to
GSO. GSO may need to do away with
the large discount on books. Will
vote on it in April
á
Larry reported that Melrose had a hospitality room at
Aim for Ames. It was nice to share
the fellowship. He suggested that
next year perhaps Intergroup would like to host a hospitality room.
á
Annie inquired about having a round-up here. Felt it was something to consider for
the future.
The meeting adjourned at 11:30.m.
Respectfully submitted by Susan H.
