District Report:

Submitted by Sean W.

á      St. PatrickÕs Dance, March 17 at Hills Community Center.  $3.00 suggested donation

á      District is in need of funds

á      $600 spent on literature in February.  $280 of that was paid for by groups that ordered.

á      Held mini-workshop on corrections and writing to AAs in prison.  If interested contact Rick C. at (563) 264-0231.

á      Encouraged anyone interested to work with the corrections and treatment chairs at District.

á      The address for District is printed on the meeting schedules.

Old Business:

á      Need to focus on the 12th Step Call List.  Annie reconfirmed that she will call all the women on the existing list to verify information and availability.  The sign-up document should be posted on our website, www.ic-aa.org.  Margaret C. has the document and will need to e-mail it to Barb M.

á      Barb inquired why there are not more reps from Melrose.  All meetings at Melrose are considered one group, a decision made at Melrose.  Larry volunteered to be the rep after there wasnÕt one for about six months.  Lack of interested volunteers.

á      Barb inquired about renting a room at Melrose.  Larry said Intergroup can have a room.  Rent is undetermined at this time.

á      Barb will post the statement Margaret prepared regarding what Intergroup is and what it does, eliminating the specific reference to the Banquet/Auction by stating, ÒÉNew YearÕs Eve Party and other social events.Ó

á      Sean said we should determine the purpose of the banquet before deciding to have it.  Suggested using it to educate the AA community on the function of Intergroup.

á      Jacki said she would like to see some education and outreach, a workshop for 12th Step calls.  Will add to new business and discuss in April.

New Business:

á      12th Step Workshop in MayÑpanel discussion at Uptown BillÕs.  Pizza and PopÑSharing Experience With 12th Step.  Get ideas of experienced AAs for the panel and invite them to come to the April Intergoup meeting to discuss ideas.  Margaret and Sybil were suggested.

á      Banquet/AuctionÑAnnie, Barb, and Brian are interested in having the event.  Annie suggested July.  They will form an exploratory committee to look into it.

á      District Workshop on March 24.  Put the flyer on the web page.

á      Monday night Common Solution Group is celebrating the groupÕs 3rd anniversary on March 19, 7:30 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church.  Everyone is invited.

The meeting adjourned at 11:30.m.

Respectfully submitted by Susan H.
