INTERGROUP 12-STEP CALL LIST

Iowa City Intergroup is in the process of updating our 12-step call list. If you would like to add your name to the list of 12 step call responders, please complete the following information. Suggested guidelines for participation are:

• 1 year or more sobriety.
• Women work with women, men with men.
• Don’t go alone on a 12 step call. Always take another recovering person with you.
• Any indication the person calling is a threat to themselves or others, call 911. Don’t try to handle this yourself.

Intergroup is an AA service group that involves partnership among groups in the community. It exists to aid the groups in their common purpose of carrying the AA message to the alcoholic who still suffers. Currently the IC Intergroup is in charge of responding to the AA phone line, managing the beeper for 12 step calls, managing the District 13 website, housing the local archives, fostering communication between local groups and sponsoring 2 annual social events – the New Years Eve Celebration, and a Spring Banquet. We are supported by group contributions. Iowa City Intergroup meets at 10:30 AM on the first Saturday of each month at Uptown Bill's, 329 E. Court St., Iowa City.
