OPENING Tracy opened the meeting with moment of silence and the Serenity Prayer at 2:30pm. The Preamble (Lori), Traditions-short form (Matt) and the Twelve Concepts-short form (Peter) were read.
REPORTS
Secretary: Jean read secretary’s report. Time moved to accept minutes as read, Beth seconded, Motion passed.
Treasurer: Lori read treasurer report: Beginning balance $1302.86, Ending balance $1085.91. (See full report at end) Bob moved to accept as read, Beth seconded, motion passed.

Blue Noon: Peter H. no report By the Book: absent The Common Solution Group. absent Easy did It: absent FirstThings First Group: 9:30-10:30 AM Sat, 511 Melrose, 8-9AM Sun 511 Melrose, Fall Fling scheduled on Sat Oct 11th has been canceled YILS, Matt B Fridays Men’s: There is nothing new to report. The Halloween Party will be November 7th. Also, we are going to dispatch originating members to help develop a group history. Myron Gaunt Prospector Group: Jeff absent Melrose Group: Shawn absent. Midwest Group Key issues: we had new keys made for Zion door-it looks like the church is ‘not aware’ of grsoup, key holders, POC etc so we are making an effort to keep the church informed on who the key holders and points of contact are. Matt B. Opossum Lodge Group: JC absent Recovery Group. Hi everyone, Ray Ramirez, Sr, Alt GST for Recovery Group in Muscatine. Here is what we have going on for the month of October. Recovery Broup 18th Anniversary at the Pearly City Station on the river front in Muscatine, IA 6:30-7:30pm. Potluck(meat and drink provided). Please bring a side dish to share! Speaker 7:30-9pm Cindy C from Los Angeles, CA. Cake and feloowship follow the speaker, come join in the fun, remember “Participation is the key to harmony: I have some flyers. River Junction Group: Elections will be in November, Randy. COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Activities Committee/Archivist: Mike M will speak Dec 6th in Iowa City, North Hall Saturday noon meeting is hosting a lunch after the meeting from 1-2pm, followed by Mike speaking from 2-4pm. (He is our current Delegate). Clark J. Archives Committee: nothing new. Clark J Corrections: No report. Rick CPC Committee: absent Grapevine: no report, Beth Intergroup Liaison: absent Literature Committee: absent Newsletter: Open position.
Public Information Committee: Schedules will be reprinted in December, let me know of changes prior. There is a need for a speaker for a U of Ia class Nov 18th. Tim. Treatment Facilities Committee: Open position
OLD BUSINESS
1. Peter’s motion will be presented by Tracy at the Fall Area business conference. Tracy will also try to have it on the printed agenda. “Resolved: That the AA Fellowship, through the general service conference, the Grapevine, Regional forums, area conferences, workshops and supplemental literature address the question: Is the “inverted triangle” really working in AA today?”
NEW BUSINESS
1. Elections:
DCM: Jean nominated Bob and he accepted. Peter asked Bob his stand on a number of issues. Bob stated nominees generally do not take “stand on an issue” but give a service talk. Bob states he will carry the consensus of the district to the Area level. There is also a right of decision. Vote: unanimously in favor.
Alt DCM: Beth nominated Jean, accepted. Ray nominated Lori: declined. Vote: unanimously in favor.
Secretary: Tim nominated Matt B-declined; Jean nominated Beth-declined due to lack of electronic capability. Beth nominated Peter-declined for same reason. OPEN POSTION
Treasurer: Tim nominated Beth, accepted, Vote: unanimously in favor.
Activities: Jean nominated Tracy-declined. OPEN POSTION
CPC: no nominations: OPEN POSITION
Corrections; Rick nominated Matt B, accepted. Vote: unanimously in favor.

PLEASE TELL YOU GROUPS OF THESE OPEN POSITIONS; we will ask the new GSR’s coming in Jan to fill these if possible.
2. Clark: The Cluster Workshop had 66 attendess. District 9 did have 287$ prior to passing the can.
Beth motioned to close the meeting, Tim and Lori tied for seconding it. Tracy led us with the Lords Prayer.
